Guinness World Records wrote: "The most valuable lip art is $757,975 Australian dollars (£418,106.00, €467,361.02, US $540,858.59) and was achieved by Craig Rosendorff (Australia) in Perth, Australia, on 7 September 2018. Rosendorff is a specialist diamond Jeweller, founded in 1963 by Craig Rosendorff." Quantum have been working with Rosendorff for many years, so we were delighted when they asked us to insure the World record attempt. Founding Director, Alex Thornton and Underwriter, Rob Thornton, ventured up to Perth to attend the World Record attempt, which took place in front of the Rosendorff shop in Perth. The Rosendorff team and award-winning make up artist, Clare Mac, worked with skill and precision to beat previous World record ($26,500 US) with ease, however, to achieve the final figure ($757,975 AU) required painstaking attention to detail, as they had to select, position and glue on the diamonds, without any loss or damage. The event was a great success and we would like to congratulate Craig Rosendorff and his team as new World Record holders! |
